Intervenendo su un perimetro già definito, ho preferito privilegiare la zona giorno, dove prende spazio una pedana (+ 15 cm) per l’angolo tv e camino, limitata da una struttura in vetro e maglia d’acciaio, sostenuta da due pilastrini in ferro ossidato di stile industriale. Punto focale della pianta è un disimpegno semiottagonale con tre porte prive di telaio, attraverso cui si accede alle due camere da letto e al bagno, e una fascia verticale in vetro cemento che illumina e “spia” la doccia interna. Una forte scelta cromatica (con gialli ocra, rossi, blu, che sfumano in grigi e si accendono in verdi acidi) crea un clima caldo e allegro. In un tale ambiente, ogni particolare è stato creato in modo da riprodurre un’atmosfera quasi fumettistica: il quadro elettrico a norma è stato scherzosamente mascherato da uno vecchio e sgangherato, la blindatura della porta è a vista e delle tele di juta, sotenute da un cavetto d’acciaio, diventano delle tende oscuranti dal sapore tribale.
FLAT IN MULTI-STORY BUILDING
As I was to deal with a pre-set perimeter, I decided to concentrate upon the living area. Here, a dais (+ 15 cm) has found its place to host the TV corner and the fireplace; its bordering glass and steel structure is supported by two industrial-style, oxidized-iron pillars. The layouts focal point is a semi-octagonal access room with three non-framed doors, leading into the two bedrooms and the bathroom, and a concrete-glass vertical strip, giving light and “spying” over the shower behind it. A somewhat loud color selection (including ochre yellow, red and blue, shading into gray hues or brightening up into acid green) creates a warm and cheerful atmosphere. In such an environment, each detail has been devised so as to evoke an almost comics-like setting: the electric board, although fully complying with the relevant standards, has been jokingly disguised as an old, “rickety” one; the door armoring structure is visible, and blinds made of rough jute cloths give a tribal feel to the whole.
